Question:If Prophet Adam was blessed with two sons, Sheeth and Yafeth, from where did the two women who married them come?
Answer:In the name of Allah, there are two narrations in our reliable books concerning this matter. One states that Allah sent two women from paradise, each married one, and progeny was produced. The second states that Adam (PBUH) was blessed with two sons and two daughters, and it was permissible for a brother to marry his sister according to Adam's (PBUH) law. Allah knows best.
Question:The Prophet (PBUH&HF) says, "I judge among you based on evidence and oaths." Does this imply restriction, that he does not act based on his knowledge but only on evidence and oaths? Or can the Prophet (PBUH and HF) act based on both evidence and oaths and his knowledge?
Answer:In the name of Allah, in the realm of the rights of Allah's servants, it's permissible for a ruler to judge based on their knowledge. However, the narration referring to the Prophet's statement indicates a different aspect, hinted at in the narrative's conclusion. It signifies that whoever is given something based on evidence or oath and is not deserving, they consume a piece of Hellfire. The ruler judges with knowledge in the absence of evidence and oaths regarding the rights of 's servants. Reflection upon the narration is encouraged. Allah knows best; He is the Guide.
Question:“Send with us the Children of Israel.” Why was the supplication of Prophet Moses limited to the Children of Israel and not for humanity in general?
Answer:In the name of Allah, they were the ones who were Muslims, while the rest were followers of Pharaoh, affirming his divinity. Only the Children of Israel were oppressed under Pharaoh's authority. Allah knows best; He is the Guide.
Question:Was Prophet Moses' intervention based on legal grounds when he found two men fighting, one from his people and the other from his enemy, or was the unintentional killing he committed considered a crime?
Answer:In the name of Allah, Pharaoh's man was deserving of death because he was a polytheist who worshiped Pharaoh. Allah says, "Kill the polytheists wherever you find them." However, Moses (PBUH) was angry at the Pharaoh's man for his oppression against the believer, yet Moses was compelled. Therefore, Moses (PBUH) did not commit a sin; rather, this happened before his victory over Pharaoh and his followers, and he was compelled to act. Allah is the Guide.
Question:What was the tree in Paradise that Allah commanded Adam (PBUH) not to approach? Was it forbidden?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the narrations vary regarding this matter. Some indicate it was wheat, while others suggest it was the tree of knowledge specifically designated for Muhammad and his family (PBUT). Expressing that elevated status in knowledge through the tree is metaphorical, and eating from the tree symbolizes the desire to attain that knowledge, as mentioned in some narrations. Allah knows best.
Question:What is your opinion on some people saying that the Prophet (PBUH& HF) was killed and did not die a natural death?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it's known from sources that he fell ill and passed away due to it, but the nature of the illness isn't specified in the narrations. Yes, some narrations suggest that a woman poisoned him. There are different versions and interpretations regarding this incident. It's been said that the poison was administered by a Jewish woman who offered him food, which was poisoned, and the poison remained in his noble body until his demise. Another account mentions that another woman from the Prophet's surroundings poisoned him during his illness ( PBUH and HF). It's evident that the chain of narrations lacks comprehensive investigation. Allah knows best and He is the Guide.
Question:Is it true that the Prophet (PBUH) had four daughters from Lady Khadija, as narrated in Bihar al-Anwar and mentioned in Hayat al-Qulub, which contains the opinions of prominent scholars such as Sheikh al-Tusi and Sheikh al-Saduq?
Answer:In the name of Allah, I only have confirmation of one daughter, and that is Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her). Allah is the Guide and Knowing.
Question:How did the marriage of the Prophet Lot (PBUH) continue with his wife despite her not believing in his Prophethood? Shouldn't it have been annulled because she was not a believer?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is as the marriage of the greatest Prophet (PBUH&HF) with some of his wives continued, despite their apparent rejection of him, as mentioned in the Quran. Additionally, it hasn't been confirmed that the wife of Lot (PBUH) didn't believe in his Prophethood, just as with the wives of Noah and Moses (PBUT). There is no power or strength except through Allah.
Question:Has it been proven to you that the Prophet (PBUH&HF) was illiterate, meaning he could not read or write? If so, can it be said that this contradicts the concept of infallibility since there were people who knew how to read and write?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it has not been proven that the Prophet (PBUH&HF) was illiterate. Rather, it is proved that he was from the people of Mecca. Yes, it is established that he knew how to read and write, as indicated by the Quranic verse: "And He taught you that which you knew not." However, he did not engage in reading and writing during his mission for specific reasons, and this might be hinted at in the Quranic verse: "And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand. Otherwise the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt." Allah is the Guide.
Question:What is the difference between a Prophet and a Messenger?
Answer:In the name of Allah, a Prophet is only a Prophet and conveys the laws of the Sharia that were revealed to the Messenger(s) before him or during his lifetime. As for a Messenger, he is both a Prophet and carries a different set of laws, distinct from the Sharia of the previous Messenger(s). The differences between these Sharias are partial and not absolute. Allah knows best.
