Question:Is it permissible to act as an agent in performing the obligatory voluntary prayers (nawafil) on behalf of the living?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible except for independent recommended acts such as visiting holy shrines, reading the Quran, and other independent recommended acts like giving charity and similar actions. Allah knows best.
Question:Regarding the Tasbeeh of Al-Jabir, should the worshiper recite it after the salam before the three takbeers, or should it be recited after the three takbeers or after the Tasbeeh of Fatimah (peace be upon her)? This is a matter we often encounter during travels.
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is permissible to recite it before the Tasbeeh of Zahra (peace be upon her) and after the three takbeers. Allah knows best.
Question:Regarding the first tashahhud in the Maghrib, Isha, Dhuhr, and Asr prayers, is it recommended to say: "By the power and strength of Allah, I stand, sit, bow, and prostrate," or is it recommended to say: "By the power and strength of Allah, I stand and sit" only, without adding "and bow and prostrate"?
Answer:In the name of Allah, both are correct. Allah knows best.
Question:If someone is praying a voluntary prayer while riding in a car and the traffic light stops them, and they have already performed the Takbir (saying "Allahu Akbar") before stopping, can they continue their prayer and complete it while the car is stationary? And what if they hadn't performed the Takbir before stopping?
Answer:In the name of Allah, as long as they have entered into the prayer, they should continue it until completion. If they have not yet entered the prayer, they have the choice to start it or not. You have to know that performing voluntary prayers while moving is permissible, but the movement is not a condition for the validity of the prayer in the premise of the question. Allah knows best.
Question:In the month of Ramadan, we offer the voluntary prayer (naflah) after the Maghrib prayer right after the Isha prayer. In this case, should it be considered as making up a missed prayer (qada) or as a regular voluntary prayer (ada')?
Answer:It should be considered as making up a missed prayer (qada). Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible to combine the two units (rak'ahs) of the forenoon (shafa') and the odd (witr) prayers with one tasleem (salutation)? In other words, can I perform three units of prayer and then give the tasleem after the witr unit?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible according to what we have established. Allah knows best.
Question:If a person faces multiple difficulties in their life and seeks advice from scholars, palm readers, and astrologers, then he only discovers that there is no specific method to overcome and find relief, should they pray a specific prayer to rid themselves of these troubles and problems? What is the ultimate solution to this problem?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not for anyone to establish a prayer according to their own desires. Instead, there are prayers narrated by the infallibles (PBUT), and one should choose one of them. Additionally, one can draw closer to Allah by giving charity to those in need according to their ability, for indeed, Allah repels calamities through charity. Allah is the Guide, and He is the All-Knowing.
Question:If a person has due obligatory prayers and fasting to be done, is it valid that he performs prayers or fasting voluntarily or on behalf of other, noting that he has sufficient time for his due obligatory prayers and fasting?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if he has fasting due from Ramadan month, his recommended fasting is not accepted from him. It is permissible for him to perform the due obligatory fasting in the day of recommended fasting and Allah will give him the rewards of two types of fasting. For prayer, it is valid to perform recommended prayer and he has due obligatory prayers not performed yet. Allah knows best.
Question:When saying "Allahume Salli Ala Muhammad wa Ale Muhammad", what is the type of prayers which Allah does on them?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it means having His mercy and keeping it continuous. Allah is the Guide.
Question:Is all the speech in the prayers a supplication to Allah or part of it? Some of the sentences like "Alsalawat Ala Muhammad wa Alihi" (Peace be upon Muhammad and his Family) are suitable to be a supplication, but phrases like "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) are not suitable to be a supplication?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the praying person stands before Allah, the Exalted. In the obligatory recitation, he recites the words of Almighty Allah before Him and in supplications he requests Allah. Allah is the Guide and Knowing.
