The representative of the Grand Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) in Baghdad Province - Al-Rashidiya District oversaw the Hussaini mourning gatherings held during the first ten nights of the holy month of Muharram, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his purified household.

During the gatherings, Sheikh Kareem Al-Sa’idi affirmed that the Hussaini revolution carried profound meanings and eternal humanitarian values, noting that it was not merely a historical event that ended over 1400 years ago, but a living continuation of the prophetic mission and a reaffirmation of the values of truth and justice that falsehood sought to erase.

He added that the uprising of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) aimed to save the religion, revive the Sharia, and reform the Islamic Ummah in accordance with the tolerant teachings of the Muhammadan message. Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) understood that the future of humanity hinged upon his martyrdom, and that his blood, which soaked the land of Karbala through his jihad, altruism, and sacrifice, would continue to give rise to men in every era who reject oppression and refuse humiliation. His revolution is eternal in its continuity, and its call for reform remains alive no matter the sacrifices required.

In conclusion of his speech, Sheikh Al-Sa’idi extended condolences to the sacred presence of Imam Al-Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for his return) and the grand religious authorities.
