Question:Is it permissible to recite the holy Quran during the day in Ramadhan and is committing mistakes considered lying to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH&HF)?

Answer:In the name of Allah, yes it invalidates fasting if the person was deliberate and knows that his recitation was incorrect. Allah knows best.

Question:Is it permissible to chew gum that contains the taste of sweetness during the day in Ramadhan?

Answer:In the name of Allah, if nothing of the gum or the saliva which is affected by its taste enters inside, there is no problem. However, one should be precautious and refrain from it. Allah knows best.

Question:A person was in the state of janabat at night in Ramadhan. He did janabat ghusl, but did not purify his genitals from remaining semen deliberately. In the next day, a little substance (wet) got out of his penis. What is its ruling?

Answer:In the name of Allah, knowing that it is semen, if he was deliberate in extracting it, he is considered as someone who did janabat deliberately in Ramadhan. If he was not deliberate, his fasting is not affected. He has just to perform janabat ghusl. On the other hand, if he came to know that the extracted substance is not semen, he does not have to do anything of the janabat acts. Allah knows best.

Question:I have obsession of doubt about the acts of worship, may Allah forbid. While fasting in Ramadhan and reciting the holy Quran, I swallow the saliva. Sometimes, I feel there is something in the throat and sometimes on the teeth. I also have a habit of spitting many times, but this year this habit is reduced. I have decided to get rid of this obsession and of swallowing saliva, but I may have doubt that I may have swallowed something. Does this affect the validity of my fasting?

Answer:In the name of Allah, in this case, it does not affect the validity of your fasting. Allah knows best.

Question:Can we smoke one cigarette while fasting?

Answer:In the name of Allah, smoking is fasting invalidator according to me, but not because it is a “heavy dust”. Allah is the Guide and best Knowing.

Question:If a person ejaculates during fasting without intercourse with his wife, is his fasting invalid? If it is invalid, what is the expiation kaffara (atonement) that we must pay, provided that the person did that unintentionally?

Answer:In the name of Allah, if he did it unintentionally where this is not of his habits that he ejaculates for what he did to make him ejaculate, he does not have to pay kaffara and his fasting is valid. Allah knows best.

Question:A person has watched porn videos during the day in Ramadhan and he did not want to masturbate, but he has been taken by his lust, so he masturbated. He is so regretful for what he did and he does not have the ability to fast two consecutive months because of his hard work. What shall he do?

Answer:In the name of Allah, Kaffara is a must for him. There is no way out of this. Allah is the All Guide.

Question:Someone forgot to do janabat ghusl in Ramadhan, but he remembered at day. Does he have to hurry doing ghusl or to do ghusl just because prayers time is due?

Answer:In the name of Allah, it is preferable that he hurries and does ghusl. Allah knows best.

Question:Is it permissible to take bath while fasting? What if one drinks some water inadvertently? Does it invalidate fasting?

Answer:In the name of Allah, it is permissible to take bath, but it should not be by diving in water. If one drinks water inadvertently while having bath, it does not invalidate fasting. Allah knows best.

Question:My father uses an asthma nebulizer every day. Is it permissible to use it during fasting?

Answer: In the name of Allah, after consulting the expert, we came to know that the inhaler is of two types: The first contains medical powder, which is changed into gas after being exposed to air pressure. It seems that this does not invalidate fasting if the fasting person does not feel the taste of the powder in his mouth; otherwise, it invalidates fasting. The second contains a medical liquid, which is changed into spray after being exposed to air pressure and this definitely invalidates fasting. Allah knows best.
