Question:A sick person whose illness prevents him from fasting, where he can fast if he takes, must he take medicine to fast or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if he was able to fast and did not worsen the illness or slow recovery from it, and the medicine was taken at night, then he must fast, with no unbearable hardship. Allah knows best.
Question:In light of what the world is witnessing from the spread of the Corona pandemic, we would like to ask for the opinion of our blessed authority: what is the ruling of fasting if one is afraid of getting the disease if he fasts?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if he knew that his fasting leads him to get the deadly disease (corona), he must break his fast. However, we came to know from the findings of specialist doctors that there is no relationship between fasting and the disease and it is narrated by all the Muslims that the prophet (PBUH&HF) said "Fast and you will be healthy". Let us take advantage of this honorable month of fasting to prevent all diseases, especially this wicked disease. May Allah Almighty reward all the people, especially the believers. Allah knows best.
Question:What is the ruling of a woman who takes anti-pregnancy bills to prevent the period so that she can complete fasting Ramadhan as a whole? Is this permissible or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, there is no religious objection for that. Regarding the medical side, she can consult the specialists. Allah knows best.
Question:If a woman has abortion during Ramadhan, will her fasting be void?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if a drop puerperal blood gets out, her fasting is rendered void. She can only fast after she clears puerperium. Allah knows best.
Question: A sick person cannot fast because of his sickness. However, he can fast if he takes medicine. Must he take medicine to fast or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, he must fast on certain conditions: he is capable of fasting, fasting does not lead to increasing the sickness, his medicine can be taken at night, and he can do that without fatigue (a condition which cannot be borne by a human). Allah knows best.
Question:A woman is pregnant in the sixth month and she is afraid that her fetus gets affected by fasting. Can she break the fast in Ramadhan?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if expert doctors decide that fasting harms her as being pregnant or her fetus, she can break her fast. However, she has to pay the ransom (Fidia) and perform and overdue fasting later. Allah knows best.
Question:What is the ruling of a woman’s fasting if she does know whether she’s got her menstruation before or after the breakfasting time?
Answer:In the name of Allah, her fasting is valid. Allah knows best.
Question:If a non-fasting guest visits us during Ramadhan, is it permissible to ask him whether he wants water?
Answer:In the name of Allah, yes it is permissible. Allah knows best.
