Question:I collect a set of religious questions and answers, and I exert efforts for collecting and preparing them. Some people copy and publish them in their names, and when I ask them they say (Make your work for the sake of God. What you do is hypocrisy forbidden). The question is:
1. Is it permissible to take these publications and attribute them to someone other than their publisher?
2. Is claiming for that really considered hypocrisy, forbidden, and an act which is not for the sake of God?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible for what he wrote or wanted to print or publish under his name to be taken from him by others without his consent. If someone did that, he was usurping. The owner of the papers is allowed to claim, and that is not considered hypocrisy and forbidden. Allah is all Guide and Knowing.
