Question:Is it permissible to trim the beard using an electric razor in such a way that it can still be considered that the person has a beard?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is established that what is required is for the beard to be of a length that allows it to be combed. Allah knows best.
Question:What is the ruling on completely shaving the beard? Is it a matter of a highly recommended obligation or a fatwa? Is it possible to refer to another religious authority on this issue?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is prohibited to completely shave the beard. It is obligatory for the beard to remain around the chin entirely, and the length of the hair should be enough to comb it. Anything less than that is not sufficient. This ruling applies to non-religious individuals. As for a religion scholar, his beard must be complete, not only around the chin. Allah knows best.
Question:If a young man's beard is incomplete, is it permissible to shave it off?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible to shave off the chin area and its surroundings, and the hair should be kept at a length that can be moved and combed with a comb. Yes, it is permissible to shave the sideburns for someone who is not a religious scholar. Allah knows best.
