His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah, the Religious Authority, Sheikh Badhir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) received the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Iraq, Mr. Arturo Anibal Caicos Ramirez, and his accompanying delegation, at his central office in the holy city of Najaf.

His Excellency the Ambassador spoke about the challenges facing the international community, especially under the current circumstances which call for enhancing cooperation among nations, to avert the marginalization of the international role due to the dominance of certain poles to the exclusion of others.

His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah, the Religious Authority, Sheikh Badhir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life)  emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations between Iraq and Venezuela, particularly in the economic and commercial fields, in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples. He pointed out that cooperation based on mutual respect can contribute to achieving development and stability.

His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his thanks, respect, and affection for the religious Marja'iyya, appreciating the warm reception and the time afforded by His Eminence the Marja' (may his shadow endure).
