* Youth should adhere to Hussaini values in facing challenges.

* Prayer is the backbone of religion, and Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) preserved it with his pure blood.

The representative of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah the Religious Aauthority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) and the director of his central office in Najaf, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, met with a delegation of youth from Basra Province.

In his address, His Eminence delivered a guidance-filled speech rich in religious and spiritual meanings, focusing on the importance of prayer and the role of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in upholding religious rituals and preserving Islam.

The Meaning of Establishing Prayer in the Life of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him)

Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy began his speech by emphasizing the significance of prayer in a Muslim's life, noting that Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) not only performed prayer but also that his stance in Karbala and his sacrifice for the sake of religion embodied the living essence of establishing prayer and preserving its values.

"I bear witness that you established prayer," His Eminence explained that when we say. It means recognizing that Hussain (peace be upon him) embodied through his values and actions the highest meanings of prayer and worship.

The Example of Muslim ibn Aqeel and Sacrifice for the Sake of Allah

Sheikh Al-Najafy continued by referring to the example of Muslim ibn Aqeel (peace be upon him), who was known for his deep trust in Allah Almighty and his loyalty to Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), pointing out that despite his early martyrdom, Muslim (peace be upon him) was keen on performing prayer even in his final moments, affirming that a servant's relationship with their Lord is most evident in difficult situations and sacrifices.

Challenges Faced by Youth and Their Role in Reviving Religious Values

Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy also addressed the challenges faced by today’s youth, such as the negative influences of media and modern technology, which can lead to a loss of identity and values, stressing the importance of adhering to Hussaini values and Islamic principles as the only way to confront these challenges, urging the youth to emulate the companions of Hussain (peace be upon him) who stood by him and sacrificed everything they had for the sake of truth.

Drawing Lessons from Ashura

His Eminence affirmed that the message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) is not limited to standing against oppression, but also includes religious and social reform, citing the words of Hussain (peace be upon him): "I did not rise up for glory, nor for arrogance, but to seek reform in the nation of my grandfather." He reminded that these words reflect the lofty goal of Imam Hussain’s cause in achieving justice and righteousness.

A Call to Adhere to Prayer and Worship

Sheikh Al-Najafy concluded his speech by urging the youth to adhere to prayer, worship, and the values of religion, emphasizing that prayer is the backbone of religion, and that Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) embodied the highest meanings of worship and sacrifice in Karbala.
